In a supposed message sent to Facebook user Patricia Ssewungu, a soldier elaborated on why all ranks where moved to standby order class's one. "Hide my ID

Dear Patricia, I am a solder at a rank of corporal attached to Gaddafi military barracks in Jinja. I want to explain to you what the class 1 code sent by the Deputy CDF Lt.Gen Peter Elwelu meant. "All those armed robberies you see on highways (Link Bus in Mityana), invasion of super markets (Mukono) and so forth are planned in the barracks. We have not been paid for 3 months. Our children need school fees. So the Elwelu class 1 was a signal to all of us to use guns to torment civilians and forge a living out of that. Please hide my identity since this is classified information that can make me court martialed🙏".
