Uganda: H.E Bobi Wine Receives Warm Reception In Omoro

National Unity Platform (NUP) President H.E Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine yesterday received warm reception from the people of Omoro as he campaigned for the NUP flag bearer Toolit Simon Akecha as Member of parliament Omoro district.

Despite being held for long hours at by the military on his way to Omoro, NUP President received warm reception from nup supporters as different candidates seek to occupy the position of the fallen speaker of parliament Hon Jacob Oulanyah who died a few months ago and the seats fell vacant.

The hotly contested seat is being hunted for by close to six candidates with the major candidates being Nup's Simon Toolit Akecha and son to Jacob Oulanyah who is seeking to replace his father as the Omoro district MP under the NRM party leadership.

Simon Toolit Akecha is a former FDC contestant. In his facebook post, Bobi Wine thanked his supporters for the warm reception towards NUP and their candidate Hon Toolit Simon Akecha. He alleged that the military arrested their mobilizers and supporters through out the night. "i thank the people of Omoro for the love and support towards NUP and our candidate Hon Simon Toolit Akecha. No wonder the regime went into panic mode and the military started arresting our leaders and mobilizers through out the night" stated Bobi Wine on his twitter handle.
