FDC: Dr Kizza Besigye Still Under House Arrest

Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential flag bearer and opposition leader Dr Kizza Besigye is under house arrest for a week now with a limited number of people allowed to visit him in his house while under house detention.
Besigye was arrested when he attempted to organize a walk to work protest to protest against the rising prices in essential commodities in the country.

Mr Besigye was arrested with a few of individuals who were following him as they walk to work on Friday. Mr Besigye, who has contested for four times in the Ugandan presidential elections backed off in
2021 Presidential elections mad left space for his partner Mr Amuriat who finished third in hotly contested and controversial elections after Mr Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine who became second.
The police are still surrounding Besigye's house till this time with roads leading to his home in Kasangati blocked from access but not limited to a selected few.
