Deputy Speaker of parliament who also doubles as Member of parliament for Ruhinda North Mp on Wednesday held prayers at the former speaker's office with religious leaders from Catholics and protestants at parliament. The private prayer meeting which was also graced by the current speaker Anita Among and other legislators from parliament was meant to usher in Thomas Tayebwa into his new office as the current speaker declined to have her office at the former speaker's office for fear of sad memories of her former boss Jacob Oulanyah.
She instead switched offices with her deputy as she retains her office on the 5th floor and he on the 6th floor.
It must be noted that the former speaker Jacob Oulanyah died of cancer according to medical reports submitted by the ministry of health.
However, the reports has been disputed several times by many people close to him and also far from him including Oulanyah's father Mzee Nathan L'Okori who says his son was poisoned.
This got the attention of police who summoned him but later backtracked after orders from some top government officials.
